En la misión anterior hemos descubierto dos sitios SAM que protegen los campamentos clave de las regiones de BANKOELEN (Oeste) y OOESTHAVEN (Sur). La única forma de conocer la posición exacta de estos campamentos es enviando a dos grupos de comandos a las cercanías de estas posiciones SAM (a una distancia aproximada de 10 Km). Una vez en tierra, estos comandos iniciarán su tarea de búsqueda. Pero para lograr ésto primero hay que destruir los dos sitios SAM. Para ello intervendrán los GAVILANES. El V1 y un portaaviones estadounidense aportarán F9F y Furys para el ataque. El armamento a ser utilizado son bombas de 1000 libras (no hay otra opción).

Despego como numeral 3 del grupo de "Gavilanes" a cargo de Ceteu, con Cuervo como #2. Ponemos rumbo a AJ29 a una altura de 4000 metros aproximadamente, llegamos a un minuto del mobjetivo el líder da aviso de misil, procedo a realizar maniobras evasivas sin perder de vista al líder, enseguida tengo en visual las baterías SAM y enfilo mi avión en rumbo directo, antes de soltar las pepas me alcanzan varios impactos de artillería, pierdo la mira y los flaps, no obstante mantengo el rumbo y suelto las bombas, salgo acelerando con rumbo al portaviones pero al notar la falta de flaps me dirijo a la base cercana donde aterrizo sin novedad.

Despego nuevamente como #3, nos dirigimos al objetivo situado en BA9 #3, a unos 4000 metros de altura, llegando cerca del sitio SAM veo pasar 3 misiles por arriba, encaro la posición y suelto las pepas notando varias explosiones, de inmediato y con algunos agujeros extras en mi cabina escapo hacia el portaviones, aponto sin novedad.

Despego como numeral 2 de la escuadra de ataque. Ponemos rumbo 70 hacia el campamento enemigo para eliminar todos los SAM. Logro esquivar varios misiles y lanzo bombas sobre el objetivo. Destruimos por completo el lugar. Volvemos al portaviones donde aponto sin novedad.

Despego como numeral 2 de la escuadra de ataque. Nuevamente repetimos el procedimiento y destruimos todas las SAM, pero soy derribado cuando estoy saliendo de la zona y me estrello en el bosque.

Despego de BANKOELEN con destino al lugar de despacho de tropas, con rumbo directo con comunicación con los Gavilanes.

Llego a las proximidades de lanzamiento y me informan que esta todo limpio, entro y soy recibido con fuerte AAA haciendo evasivas me informan que me pase doy un giro de 180º y se lanzan a unos 15km de la zona, con el avion un poco dañado y viendo como sus lindo paracaídas se van inflando me pongo contento de que están todos fuera. 

Retorno a la base y aterrizo sin problemas.

Despego desde OOESTHAVEN con rumbo directo nuevamente a la zona donde atacan los Gavilanes para desplegar los Comandos.

LLego a la ruta entre las montañas , la misma hace una cuña y ese es el lugar de despliegue.

Enciendo la luz verde para que salten los comando y los veo como caen en sus paracaídas .

Retorno sin problema a la base donde aterrizo.

1° Vuelo

F9F-2 Panther R - Bombas 2x1.000 Lbs. - Fuel 80%

Decolo de la familiar cubierta del V1 liderando un vuelo de Gavilanes Anti SAM, integrado por mi wingman Cuevo y el tercer elemento, Pepper.

Llegados a las cercanías del objetivo, ordeno estar atentos y a mi orden, abrirse en abanico y evadir al avistar las estelas de los misiles.

La alarma suena al ser trackeado, ordeno abrirse a los demás, pero los misiles vienen conmigo.

Pico con la mirada clavada en el SAM que se aproxima, fuerzo el viraje pero el SAM me sigue, explotando en mi estela y provocando daños. Sin embargo, pongo proa al objetivo y lo hago víctima de mis bombas, que explotan en medio de la instalación.

Retorno al V1, pero en final me dicen que una de las patas del tren de aterrizaje, la izquierda, está ausente gracias a la explosión del SAM, por lo que me voy a la base alternativa, donde aterrizo sobre el vientre en la franja de césped frente a la torre de control, sin más daños que la pintura rayada.

2° Vuelo

FJ-3 Fury - Bombas 2x1.000 Lbs. - Fuel 80%

Decolando del USS Essex, vamos en busca del segundo blanco, otro sitio SAM.

Cómo la cantinela de picar lleno de angustia ante los disparos de los SAM me está hartando un poco, ya que lo hacen cuando hago reconocimientos, ataques o simplemente paseo por allí, y como por lo general son para mí porque soy el líder, decido probar otra cosa, allí mismo en el campo.

Como el Fury tiene mucha mejor velocidad y resistencia estructural que el Panther, esta vez mis wingmans a mi orden se abrirán, pero yo no, voy a tratar de ganarles en velocidad a los SAM.

Y es así como al ser trackeados, ordeno el despliegue de Cuervo y Pepper según el sistema del vuelo anterior, pero yo mantengo rumbo fríamente mientras acelero al 90%.

En eso, no una estela, sino tres se dirigen hacia mí....!!!

-Claro, no podía ser simple, no... Tres misiles para esquivar, mi Dios....!!!

Por suerte, al mantener rumbo los tengo perfectamente localizados, por lo que acelero aún más y pico de frente a ellos, tratando de pasar por debajo.

Y la maniobra resulta perfectamente. Los SAM explotan detrás y arriba, sin riesgo para mí, que a 1.000 Km/h suelta las bombas sobre el objetivo, acertando de pleno en él.

Sin más novedad que la caída de Cuervo en su pasada, me vuelvo al Essex, dónde llego a la vez que Pepper, apontando sin novedad.

Vienen dos SAM y el TF Ceteu los esquiva. El TN Pepper pone proa al blanco.


Las bombas pegan largas pero las de Ceteu dan en el blanco.


El GU Cuervo encara mientras salen los dos ultimos SAM. El C47 del CC Charrúa escapa de la AAA antes de lanzar los comandos.
