CHIPRE - 15 de mayo de 1963.-



El enemigo busca desesperadamente aprovisionar a las tropas desembarcadas en la isla de Mazaki. Aprovechando la oscuridad de la noche, ha reunido una pequeña flota de pesqueros cargados con suministros y tras una navegación en solitario logró reunirlos a poca distancia de la isla. Si no hacemos nada, en breve desembarcarán su carga en la cabeza de playa. Si bien ésto representaría una considerable ayuda para los turcos, no se descarta que utilicen otras vías para aprovisionar a sus paracaidistas. Esta noche vamos a volver a salir con los Texan para hundirles estos barquitos.

Además, tenemos otra tarea. El CF Beltrapone esta preparando los planes para desalojar a los turcos de Mazaki, por lo que previamente necesita cierta información de inteligencia. De hecho, ha insistido en que lo llevemos a la isla y lo dejemos junto a uno de sus hombres a poca distancia de las líneas enemigas.

El personal de tierra está preparando a los Texan y a un par de U-2VS para llevar a Beltrapone y su asistente.

Lider Texan - 75% jugo - 3x250lb bomb
Salimos con rumbo directo al SE de Mazaki, para luego poner rumbo norte e intentar divisar a los barcos.
A dos minutos de llegar a la zona el Neptune nos informa de la posicion de los barcos enemigo e ilumina la zona.
En una maniobra de carrucel, nos vamos turnando para hacerle entradas.
En mi segunda salva logro hundir uno de ellos, posterior a la tira del armamento, seguimos strafeando sin lograr ningun hundimiento.
Al ser informados de los aterrizajes de emergencia de los biplanos nos dirigimos al sur de Mazaki en donde se encontraban nuestro camaradas para intentar un rescate.
En dicho rescate 2 texan fallan en el intento quedando averiados juntos a los biplanos.
Acto seguido retorno a la base y logro aterrizar sin problemas.
Entiendo por los resultados de la mision de los texan, que no pudimos cumplir con nuestro objetivo al lograr hundir un unico barco de una formacion de 5.

Texan - 3 x 250 - 75%

Salimos a dar caza a unos pesqueros turcos cargados de provisiones para sus tropas en Mazaki. Localizamos objetivos, el Neptune ilumina la zona y procedemos a bombardearlos. Sólo logramos hundir una de las embarcaciones. Al regreso, escucho que los pilotos de biplanos están caídos en Mazaki. Si bien no están en territorio enemigo, decido ir a buscarlos para llevarlos a Chipre, pero ya carreteando capota y quedo con la cola apuntando a las estrellas. Idem el GU Tango. Desmontamos las ametralladores y con el TF Charrúa, Baco y Tango salimos corriendo detrás del CC Beltrapone hacia un poblado cercano.

Neptune - 4x1000 - 25%

Despego bien del sur y pongo rumbo 350 hacia la isla para buscar los suministros navales, a mis 9 veo a los texan. al poco tiempo de pasar la isla de masaki detecto una agrupacion de unos 6 o 7 buques muy pequeños, le spaso por arriba  y los ilumino. me dedico a hacer estas pasadas mientras los Texan atacan con bombas, cuando estos terminan entro yo pero no logro confirmar impactos, era muy dificil darles , luego de esto me escapo y paso por la zona donde estaban los pilotos de rescate que me entero estaban en problemas, trato de mantener contactos y les arrojo algunas cosas que me sobraban en el avion, incluso mi atado de parliament largos, la AAA de los enemigos era escasa pero peligrosa, logran darnme un par de veces por lo que prefiero irme y no ser una victima mas, ya sobre la base, pongo a la aeronave en pista y me voy al casino de oficiales a ver quien estaba.

Texan - 3 x 250 - 75% de Jugo

Salimos a interceptar un grupo de pequeños barcos de turcos de suministros con rumbo a Mazaki. Localizamos los objetivos, el Neptune nos ayuda con vengalas y procedemos a bombardearlos. Realizo mi pasada suelto las tres bombas pero debido al retardo que traian se hunden sin alcanzar los barcos. Mis compañeros hunden una de las embarcaciones, y otra queda averiada con mucho humo.

Al regreso, informan que la escuadrilla de biplanos de Beltrapone esta barada en Mazaki imposibilitados de despegar. Balker procede al rescate y queda de nariz imposibilitado de despegar, al ver a mis compañeros barados me decido a aterrizar y tambien quedo con la helice arruinada.

Rapidamente ordeno a Cacho, mi artillero, que desmonete las ametralladoras calibre 30 mientras yo quito las cintas de las delanteras. Rapidamente hacemos un inventario con cacho: dos ametralladoras cal 30, 4 cintas de 100, mi pistola 11.25 con 2 cargadores, una 38 largo de cacho con 2 recargas, 2 kit de supervivencia, 1 radio de emergencia, un termo con cafe (por suerte cacho no lo tiro en vuelo), un paquete de biscochos salados, y lo mas importante 4 alfajores de dulce de leche cubiertos de chocolate que me mandaron de buenos aires el lunes.

Preparo la 11.25, cargamos las ametralladoras y con Cacho corremos rapidamente nos reunimos con Charrúa, Baco, Balker y Beltrapone. Beltrapone nos da unas directivas y nos ponemos a corrar al poblado mas cercano.

En el trayecto paramos 5 minutos para descansar y le dejo mis cosas a Cacho. Me alejo 2 min en busca de un arbusto para hacer pipi y cuando vuelvo encuentro al a patrulla de valientes tomando un buen cafe, Cacho, Charrúa, Baco y Balker degustando unos deliciosos alfajores y Beltrapone con los biscochos...

  Ponemos rumbo al lugar de aterrizaje, para dejar a los infantes , llegamos al lugar y vemos fuego en la ciudad, y una pista precariamente marcada.

Nos dirigimos a la zona en donde había saltado los paracaidistas, para que vieran los movimientos y de paso distraer nuestro aterrizaje, lanzo las bombas sobre una AAA y la destruyo.

Baco aterriza, intenta despegar y dejar libre la pista, pero rompe hélice, voy yo cuando me estoy deteniendo rompo la hélice y quedo inclinado hacia delante.

Después intentan rescatarnos Balker y Tango pero se quedan en el intento porque capotan el avión , nos movemos rápidamente hacia los lugares que nos indican los infantes.

Avión hélice rota, utilizable y con dos bombas en el fuselaje todavia.
