Despego como numeral 3 de la sección al mando de Alma. Nos dirigimos a Rennell y procedemos a realizar un patrullaje sobre la pista. Luego nos dirigimos con Chape a Bellona para dar cobertura a la gente de ataque. En diversos combates derribo a dos enemigos, luego a un tercero que parecía estar con su piloto herido o bien había saltado. Con poco combustible regreso al V2, aponto correctamente.

Despego del V2 con Alma de lider, Chape y luego Pepper en patrulla de caza hacia la isla Rennell. Tras varias evoluciones sobre el archipiélago nos topamos con varios Spits enemigos a los que les damos caza fácilmente. Sin municiones, tengo que regresar al portaviones para recargar.

Decolo hacia la isla mientras el resto del grupo de caza vuelve al portaviones a repostar municiones y combustible. Realizo una PAC en solitario sin avistar actividad aérea enemiga. Pronto se me suman Alma y Pepper que vuelven cargados del portaviones. Al no registrar actividad hostil, emprendemos el regreso a la FT.

Desde el V2 cerrando la formación ponemos rumbo a Rennell, allí localizamos un SpitFire siendo acosado por la AAA al que atacamos y derribo, luego nuestro Líder el Teniente Alma nos ordena a el Sr. Don Pepper y a mi dirigirnos a Bellona para dar cobertura a la 1º de Ataque.

Tras la salida de la escuadra de ataque del sector retornamos a Rennell sobre la pista donde se encontraban en Combate el Líder y el Gu. Falcon, allí nos sumamos y logro derribar otros 2 Spit.

Cuestiones de fuerza mayor me obligan a retornar a la FT donde aponto sin novedad.

Sentado en el Panther, mientras miro el afán de las tripulaciones de cubierta, tengo un extraño Deja-Vù.

No son las misiones anteriores, sino esta. Me parece que los movimientos son repetidos, sabidos, previsibles, conocidos hasta el último detalle. Qué armas llevaré. Sé lo que me espera, la AAA furiosa que rodea mi avión, destruyéndolo en una napa de fuego, los australianos debajo a los que vislumbro en una final cabriola mortal...

Me sacudo los hombros para sacarme un estremecimiento que me recorre la espina dorsal y llamo a mi tripulación de cubierta. Ordeno retirar los HVAR y reemplazarlos por bombas de 250 lbs. y aumentar un 10% el fuel a llevar. Al Diablo el Deja-Vù, veamos si cambio todo la historia es igual, sonrío y levanto el pulgar a Cuervo y Charrúa, que me miran curiosos por el repentino cambio de configuración que ordeno.

La catapulta nos impulsa y nos alejamos con rumbo 300º, paralelos y alejados de la costa de Rennell para evitar sorpresas desagradables, cruzamos el canal entre esta y Bellona, donde en su extremo norte las fuerzas australianas intentan poner pie.

Entramos en secuencia y lanzamos toda la carga en una pasada, a fin de no exponernos demasiado a la AAA. No observo resultados apreciables, si bien acertamos todos en la playa.

No muy convencido, ordeno estrafear, lo que hacemos cada uno dos veces hasta que ordeno retirarnos. En el  camino de regreso, un Gannet de observación es localizado y ordeno al Gu Cuervo, que parece sediento de sangre australiana que lo ejecute.

Lo acribilla en varias oportunidades mientras Charrúa y yo miramos el espectáculo entre curiosos e interesados, críticos con las entradas de Cuervo y llenándolo de consejos molestos de viejos expertos a el joven piloto.

Sin más munición, Cuervo debe abandonar la matanza, de la que se hace cargo Charrúa, que con dos tiros, para bronca de Cuervo, hace que la tripulación australiana, espantada por el repentino refuerzo que diluye sus esperanzas al ver que se retiraba el primer Panther, se arroje en paracaídas.

No asistimos a la caída del Gannet, pero soy testigo que sin tripulación, es un derribo.

Sin más novedades, aponto en el V1 libre de la molesta sensación que tenía al principio de haber volado esta misión con pésimos resultados.

Salimos rumbo a costa de la isla del norte para intentar frenar el desembarco, llegamos hacemos nuestras pasadas, mi trabajo no es el de los mejores, ya que no puedo confirmar mucha destrucción.

Regresamos y en el camino nos topamos con un avión enemigo en solitario, Cuervo le entra reiteradas veces, cuando no tiene mas balas, le entro primer pasada sin impactos la segunda lo aseguro y termino el buen trabajo de Cuervo, arrancando le el timón y un alerón , todavía sigo con el dedo posado en el gatillo cuando veo saltar la tripulación , se me pasa por un segundo la idea de apretar , y recuerdo algunos pilotos de honor, donde el combate era contra las maquinas y no con sus tripulantes.

Salgo del V2 como lider de la escuadra de caza. Apenas despego, mi aeronave se viene a pique, logro salvarla por milimetros ya que toco la panza con el agua y salgo nuevamente. Se producen daños en el motor debido al agua por lo que debo aterrizar de emergencia.

Salgo nuevamente y luego de formar nos dirigimos hacia Rennell. Ya sobre el objetivo ordeno a chape y Pepper que se destaquen sobre Bellona mientras quedamos con Falcon sobre la pista. Luego de unos minutos llegan contactos que resultan ser spits. A los que derribamos. En mi caso logro destruir a 1. Luego se presentan otros 4 contactos de los que logro derribar a 2. Nos dirigimos a la flota donde aponto sin novedad.
