Panther - 100% jugo - 2x1000lb
Decolamos desde AF28 para interceptar navíos rusos junto mis numerales #2 Minos, #3 Gaucho, #4 Cuervo y #5 Baco.
Nuestro plan de vuelo determinaba repostar en AR20 en donde estarían los cisternas, pero al llegar a la zona no detectamos a las aeronaves por lo que continuamos rumbo para luego volver por nuestros pasos para intentar repostar y dirigirnos hacia nuestro objetivo. Nuevamente no tenemos suerte en la búsqueda teniendo que soltar bombas y regresar a la base para conservar el material de vuelo dado lo escaso del combustible.
Aterrizamos sin novedades.

F9F2 Panther - 100% Fuel + Tanques - Default

Debido a problemas técnicos debo despegar de la base ubicada al nor-este de Ushuaia, al igual que Castor, una vez en el aire el resto decide unírsenos sobre la vertical. Cuando estuvimos formados nos dirigimos hacia el sur, a la zona donde se encuentra un viejo barco encallado el cual encontramos sin problemas, desde allí nos dirigimos mas al sur-este navegando a la estima, al parecer nos desviamos unos grados ya que fuimos  a parar al sur de las Orcadas sin haberlas visto al pasar, lo que dificultó nuestra ubicación, no obstante logramos divisar otras islas al sur y desde allí nos dirigimos a las Orcadas a fin de reabastecernos de combustible, antes de ello observamos cuatro buques roviéticos que se acercan a la costa.
Aterrizamos sin novedad.

Una junta técnica y el aporte de testigos demostró que la configuración de flaps no estaba correctamente seteada.

2° Vuelo

Despego de la pista alternativa y nos reagrupamos sobre la vertical. Se practica la navegación hasta lo que tendría que ser las Islas Orcadas, pero se falló en el objetivo de encontrarlas, llegado el punto límite de combustible, se emprende el regreso, encontrándonos con parte de la península antártica !!!  :o :o ??? ??? ::).
Nuevamente ubicados emprendemos una navegación hacia las islas Orcadas, las que encontramos siendo atacadas por buques de desembarco, sin encontrar lanchones ni fuerzas en la playa, lo que se concluye que el ataque fue repelido.
Algo críticos de combustible se decide aterrizar ahí mismo, lograndolo a pesar de la improvisada pista y aun no terminada.

Bajo corriendo del avión que me llevó hasta la Base de Usuhaia, después de un infernal periplo desde Yugoslavia, tan cansado como si hubiera estado viajando casi 10 años para estar aquí, pero sin querer perderme la salida con mis compañeros.

Una vez despegados, pasamos sobre la pista alternativa para reunirnos con Pepper y Castor, me formo a las cinco de Chape, el Líder.

Volando a la estima, aparentemente los vientos nos llevan al este de las Orcadas, desandamos el camino hasta que una parte del Continente Antártico, lo que nos da nuestra posición y rectificamos rumbo a las Orcadas. ( Por cierto, la 2º de Caza y Ataque entra en la historia por ser la primera en llevar Jets al Continente Blanco  ;D )

Una vez llegados sobre las Orcadas, observamos el intento de desembarco ruso sobre las mismas. Atacamos los lanchones de desembarco, sin grandes resultados, aunque seguramente haciendo una carnicería sobre las cubiertas con los 20 mm.

Aterrizamos faltos de jugo, clamando a los gritos por bombas. Personal de tierra nos informa que no hay, sólo combustible, pero la nieve puede dificultar un despegue en esta pista corta e improvisada. Nos miramos con Pepper, otro veterano con el que estuve en Letonia y Java, y nos reímos a carcajadas, un poco histéricamente. Y ahora ? Nos encojemos de hombros, sacamos las petacas, la mía con cogñac, la de él, como siempre carga, con Johnnie Walker Blue que se consiguió a buen precio en Southhampton, nos ponemos nuestros gorros de lana en la cabeza, tomamos nuestras armas, yo mi PPSH rusa conseguida en Letonia, él su Thompson del .45 y caminamos hacia la costa, a unirnos a los infantes de marina. Castor y Chape se reunen con nosotros, y fumando enfrentamos a los rusos.

Ah...!!! Si los de Ataque llegaran con bombas...!!

1º Vuelo:

F9F Phanter - 2x1000 lb - 100% jugo

Despego con la escuadra de ataque liderada por Mano. Ponemos rumbo para reconocer una zona, y encontrarnos con un Neptune Cisterna para reabastecernos. Luego de recorrer la zona, no logramos ubicarlo.
  Al llegar a la mitad de de tanque, nuestro lider ordenada el regreso. Una vez en la pista aterrizo sin novedad.

P2V5 Neptune cisterna: 70% combustible + tanque ventral extra.

Debíamos salir de Ushuaia, navegar con 130º hasta la zona de REV fijada y orbitar sobre lo que se avistó como un buque averiado.
Imprevistamente la superioridad ordenó cambiar el aeródromo de salida y modifiqué nuestro plan de vuelo prácticamente en el acto de despegue, desde AJ30.
Corregí a 135º pero el  cursó debió estar errado en unos 5 grados, lo que a pesar de medir con precisión velocidad, curso, altitud y tiempo, debo haber orbitado sobre una zona paralela a la señalada, distante a unos 10 km al E de la prevista.
Luego de un intercambio radial con Ataque, se me sugirió volver a base.
Propuse desde Ushuaia poner 180º hasta que dieran con mi avión, pero caza aterrizó en Orcadas.
Tras 2 intentos de aterrizaje abortados, el tercero, en AJ30, me despistó con el epso del avión y la altitud del terreno que debía restarle al altímetro y rompí el tren, rompiendo los motores.

Despego desde Usuahia como 3° de la formación de ataque liderada por Mano. #2 Minos, , #4 Cuervo y #5 Baco.
Despegamos y una ves formados ponemos rumbo, buscamos durante largos minutos al casco hundido y al tanquero  con aproximadamente medio tanque  y sin visual del tanquero emprendemos el regreso el cual realizamos sin novedad.

Me agrupo en la cabecera de la pista para decolar desde AF28 como 2º de la fomarcion de ataque. Carreteo hasta cabecera, aplico potencia, comienzo la carrera y cuando llega el fin de la pista, lo llamo (en exceso) y exploto en mil pedazos, las causas habrian sido atribuidas a la inexperiencia del piloto.

Despego desde AF28  para alcanzar mi puesto en la formacion de ataque ya adelantada, una vez divizados, me reincorporo en mi puesto correspondiente como #2, seguimos el rumbo planeado para encontrarnos con los cisternas sin tener suerte, a mitad de tanque emprendemos el regreso a la base sobre nuestros propios pasos, procedemos a la suelta de bombas, y aterrizamos sin novedades.

Lidero el vuelo de los tranqueros, Popeye sale en primer lugar ya que el iba hacer la navegación , ponemos rumbo 135 y nos dirigimos al mar, a unos 10 minutos del vuelo un imprevisto me hacer descartar el vuelo....
