Los ingleses no escarmientan e insisten, con su típica obstinación, pasar suministros por el Kanal.

Uno de nuestros U-boote de 250 Tn, con los torpedos agotados, ha radiado el rumbo y velocidad de un konvoi en ruta directa al estuario del Támesis.



Hemos recibido orden de destruirlo. Para ello la Luftflotte nos ha enviado para que evaluemos 4 Heinkels He-111 torpederos, ya que somos los únicos con experiencia en el uso de los mismos, aunque no estemos tan familiarizados con el 111.

Tratemos de no perderlos, ya que la opción es Ju-87 u 88, con bombas.

Nos indican que en el cumplimiento de esta misión sería saludable que no nos acercáramos a tierra, ya que estamos solos en el cumplimiento de esta misión, mientras que se prepara una importante incursión para el futuro próximo, por lo que los JG y KG se encuentran en tierra en medio de los preparativos.

Así que el Kommando deberá planear la misión de tal manera que podamos ocupar los aviones de ataque y proveernos de nuestra propia escolta.

Esperamos que la RAF reaccione débilmente sobre el Konvoi, puesto que sus últimas acciones indican que no arriesgan aviones sobre el Kanal, sin la cobertura de sus preciosas instalaciones detectoras que les daban ventaja, en espera de nuestros ataques en masa a sus bases.

Pero como siempre, es una suposición. Hay que ver si la RAF no sale de su madriguera para combatirnos sobre el mar.

Una vez provocadas las suficientes pérdidas, como siempre tendremos permiso para ir al patio de juegos inglés a tironear la cola del apolillado León británico, hasta unos 40 Kms de la costa del Kanal sobre el condado de Kent.

Aviso de último momento.

Mientras que nos encargamos del Konvoi SG32, cuatro torpederos Tipo Z partirán en misión de minado del litoral británico entre Dover, al norte, y Cape Dungeness, al sur.

Tardarán una hora en llegar al litoral a toda velocidad, por lo que se cree que hasta ese momento no habrá reacción de la RAF ni de la Fleet Air Arm, ocupados de nuestras actividades al norte. Pero ya a la vista de los ingleses, la reacción no se hará esperar.

Pusimos rumbo 0º a 500m de altitud y 300km/h, 10 minutos, hasta llegar al punto de viraje, poniendo rumbo 270º, para navegar 6 minutos.

Ya casi cuando estaba por ordenar rumbo 225º, por el peligro de tener la costa de la margen norte del estuario en visual, detecté a la flota a las 11, y ordené entrar a discreción, tomando los buques de la proa.

En la entrada, fui tocado, porque para perder altura suficiente para lanzar, me acerqué demasiado.

Retorné averiado en motor derecho, rumbo 090º, 6 minutos y luego rumbo 180º, y ya con la costa a la vista, imposibilitado de seguir liderando en esas condiciones, cedí el mando a Charrua.

Decolé como numeral 3 de la escuadra, con Ceteu como líder. Pusimos rumbo a la costa británica y al sur de Doover encontramos un grupo de al menos 3 Spifires, trabándonos en combate, salí, volví a entrar y un Spit me tomó por las 6, averiánome. Salé porque se incendió el motor.

Despego como numeral 2 de la sección de Charrúa con Popeye como líder de vuelo. Nos dirigimos hacia el canal guiados por Popeye quién de forma clara y precisa nos deposita a babor de la flota a atacar, desciendo para lanzar mis torpedos y tomo como blanco un buque de guerra, al momento de soltar los torpedos me colocan una bala entre ceja y ceja.

Despego detrás de Tucán y lo sigo hasta proximidades del puerto de Dover, patrullamos la zona sin encontrar actividad enemiga, alertados por un ataque a la base coloco rumbo de regreso, a mitad del canal encontramos un Blenheim solitario que regresa, le entro dejándolo muy averiado me voy arriba esperando que Tucán lo remate. Desconexión.

1er. Vuelo:

Despego como numeral 2 de la sección de Popeye como líder rumbo 000 para luego de 10' virara a 270 hasta encontrar el convoy. Llego a la zona del blanco pero quedo a las 8 del rumbo de los barcos y sin tiempo para ubicarme en mejor posición por lo que encaro el mejor buque y lanzo torpedos. Las defensas antiaéreas le dan a mi avión afectando los mandos por lo que quedo en posición de viraje a la izquierda y perdiendo altura me precipito al agua.

Despego detrás de Ceteu con rumbo a Dover y al llegar se me ordena plegarme a la formación que nos antecedía liderada por Balker. En un viraje para reunirme con ellos los pierdo y quedo perdido en la zona por lo que regreso a la base en respuesta a una alerta de contactos sobre ella. Mientras orbitaba la base se produce la desconexión y el fin de la misión.

1º Vuelo

Heinkel He-111H6 - 2 Torpedos FT5b - Fuel 70%

Despego como sexto elemento del vuelo que interceptará un Konvoi, el SG32, inaugurando el uso del 111 como torpedero.

Liderados por Popeye, quién con matemática precisión nos lleva sobre el luego de un vuelo sin referencias visuales, ataco un transporte de tropas que dispara con toda su AAA.

Lanzo ambos torpedos, los que impactan el navío, que se hunde inmediatamente. Regreso sin novedad.

2º Vuelo

Bf-109 E4N - Default - Fuel 100%

Despego como líder de los cazas, los que luego dividimos en dos Kettes, una liderada por mí con Charrúa y Popeye, la otra liderada por el Kommodore Balker, con Tucán y Falcon de numerales.

Llegamos sobre la zona donde protegeríamos unos torpederos en misión de minado, cuando una patrulla de Spitfires muy agresivos se me vine encima.

No trato de juntarme con Balker, porque sería darles las espaldas y tienen ventaja de altura y velocidad. Los encaro y cuando estoy cerca, bajo la nariz para que no me puedan seguir por las G`s negativas, los paso y para invertir rumbo hago una candela ascendente por su derecha, colocándome a sus seis y encerrándolos entre las dos Kettes.

En el combate que sigue, me niego a perder altura y cuando uno de los Spits pica, ordeno no seguirlo. Pronto puedo atrapar a uno de los ingleses tratando de ganar altura y cuando prácticamente está por entrar en pérdida, lo derribo.

Charrúa avería a otro pero le dañan el motor, lo abandona y lo persigo rumbo a la costa de Dover, pero antes que llegue, lo hago estallar como fuego de artificio.

Volviendo a Coquelles, me avisan que se halla bajo bombardeo. pronto distingo los hongos de la AA y en medio de ellos, un Blenheim.

Intento cruzar su rumbo con mis armas, pero fallo por mucho. Tomo altura, acumulo velocidad, y entro rápido por sus seis y debajo. Ya sin cañones, concentro el fuego de las ametralladoras en el motor derecho y el nacimiento del ala, con buenos resultados, ya que se incendia y la tripulación salta.

Eufórico, aviso de mis victorias, pero sólo el silencio de la desconexión me contesta.
