Los australianos no tienen oportunidad de consolidar su posición de Bellona. Todo se reduce a machacar sus reductos en la isla hasta que se rindan, ya sin esperanzas de refuerzos.

Sea como sea, del COAN nos han ordenado darle fin a este conflicto. Al anochecer, nuestra FT tomará rumbo a Pensacola, Florida, en Estados Unidos. En la cercana base Eglin, se está preparando al material que reemplazará nuestras pérdidas.

A costa de no tener más apoyo aéreo aliado en lo que resta de operaciones en Rennell, hemos podido juntar una cantidad de aviones para mantener la presión sobre los aussies.

Órdenes:

La 1º de Ataque seguirá demoliendo posiciones en Bellona. Los objetivos son Peka al sur, en la base aérea todo lo que haya sobrevivido o esté aterrizando, al norte la aldea de Matahunua.



La 2º de caza y Ataque deberá mantener limpios los cielos sobre Bellona para permitir las tareas de limpieza de la 1º.

Cualquier nave que ingrese al espacio aéreo de Bellona deberá ser derribada, tanto sea de ataque, caza o carga. No toleraremos más oposición ni intentos de reabastecer Bellona por parte de los australianos, ya han sido advertidos.



Nuestra FT navegará en la vecindades de Bellona, sobre su costa este, con rumbo 300º una hora aproximadamente, luego invertiá rumbo.

Atentos a los escoltas que marcarán el viraje.

Contamos con una base alternativa, Tingoa, en Rennel. La base no está plenamente operativa, ni los ingenieros que trabajan en la pista son personal técnico especialista en reabastecimientos, así que depende del avión y su complejidad el tiempo que llevará reabastecer y reparar:

Un Panther 10 minutos, un Corsario 8 minutos y un Texan 5 minutos.

Asimismo, cuidado con el tránsito en pista, esta gente no deja de trabajar ni de mover cosas de un lado a otro ni cuando caen las bombas, menos van a parar por un avión en emergencia.

Despego con Balker y nos dirigimos al norte de Bellona, iniciamos una patrulla, la otra sección entra en combate por lo que nos acercamos para ayudar, me intercepta un enemigo averiándome seriamente , escapo hacia Rennell, a duras penas logro poner el Panther en pista pero rompo el tren derecho y la punta de ala derecha.

Decolé de numeral de Ceteu y pusimos rumbo a Bellona, entramos perpendiculares a la pista, virando escarpado a estribor planchado, viendo cómo las trazadoras de los interceptores enemigos pasaban sobre mi. Solté todo en una pasada, planchando y rompiendo en escape a babor, hice un arco al sur del archipiélago y aterricé en Tingoa.

Despego como líder de la escuadra de ataque. Ponemos rumbo 270 hacia la isla de Bellona. Debemos retratar un poco el ataque, ya que divisamos presencia enemiga y la escuadra de caza aun no nos puede dar cobertura.
Una vez sobre la isla atacamos la base aérea del centro de la isla. Divido los blancos y comenzamos a atacar. Destruimos casi completamente la base y volvemos a la flota.
  Mi avión sufre daños graves en las alas y cuesta maniobrarlo, a pesar de eso intento apontar, sin embargo no logro enganchar en las cuerdas y intento abortar pero mi avión se enrosca y caigo al agua. Me eyecto y soy salvado por la flota de tareas.

Despego como lider de la escuadra de ataque. Ponemos rumbo hacia el norte de Rennel para encontrarnos con Ceteu que despega desde tierra. Una vez juntos, ponemos rumbo a Bellona y dividimos objetivos. Popeye y yo atacamos la base del norte. En mi segunda caida logro destruir un objetivo, sin embargo soy tocado por metralla enemiga y caigo al mar.

Despego en barrida de caza a la isla Bellona con Balker como líder y Pepper pero no logro conectar con mi sección así que me uno a la que lidera Alma que sale en segundo término. Al llegar a la isla realizamos una PAC y entramos en contacto con aviones enemigos, reactores F-80, uno de los cuales ataca mi avión dejándome fuera de combate.

2do Vuelo

Vuelvo a salir hacia Bellona donde encontramos varias formaciones de C-47 a las cuales atacamos. Dos de ellos caén bajo mis ametralladoras. 
Las acciones continúan repitiéndose en distintas posiciones de la isla. Atacando y derribando enemigos, combatiendo con gallardía, los hombres de la 2da de Caza van siendo derribados uno a uno por los enemigos que nos superan en número, hasta que finalmente sólo quedo yo en un teatro desierto y mortal.
Absolutamente solo frente a mi destino, sin municiones ni combustible suficiente para llegar a la flota, y a merced de los cazas enemigos que esperan para caer sobre mí, decido aterrizar en la pista de Rennell para recargar y volver al combate a reclamarle cara a cara a mis enemigos mi derecho a morir como un héroe, pero en la aproximación final, cuando unos pocos metros me separan de la polvorienta pista de tierra, soy arteramente alcanzado por las balas de un Sea Fury. Mi Panther ya no es un pájaro sino un atáud de plomo.
Logro eyectarme, mi paracaidas se abre, pero la baja altura en la que me encuentro es una trampa mortal.

Decolo como cuarto miembro del grupo de Ataque, esta vez reforzado por Popeye, que vuela de A2 del líder, Cuervo. Charrúa completa el cuarteto como A3.

Nos dirigimos a Bellona y su base aérea, donde entramos en secuencia, primero con HVAR, luego con cañones. El fuego defensivo es con calibre liviano, pero en gran cantidad, lo que hace que mi avión quede hecho un colador.

Nos retiramos a la FT, pero al intentar apontar en dos oportunidades, no logro el enganche, por las averías del avión que no me dejan bajar la cola en el momento justo. Decido no arriesgar el avión y me voy a Rennell a aterrizar y que me reparen el avión.

Lo logro sin problemas, y al bajar, me doy cuenta que no tengo un elevador, lo que causaba mis problemas.

Decolo de Rennell retrasado con respecto a mi escuadra, que sale de la FT. Vamos a la aldea del sur, Peka, a la que llego luego de mi escuadra.

Entro con los HVAR primero, sin resultados visibles. Luego estrafeo, con idéntico desempeño.

En eso, soy rodeado por un dogfight a baja altura entre un Panther y varios Sea Furys. Intento evadir, pero me doy cuenta que el Panther no la lleva de arriba y me incorporo a la lucha. Logro derribar al Sea Fury que hostiga al Panther, pero no antes que este tocado caiga, sin que yo tenga confirmación visual de la desgracia del compañero, a quién creo Balker nada manos.

El otro Sea Fury me arrincona feo, pero logro ganarle en los giros y en un cruce, doy todo timón y le acierto una ráfaga que le quita maniobrabilidad. Un semitonel más y estoy a sus seis, una ráfaga y el Sea Fury se inclina lentamente sobre su ala izquierda, iniciando un picado que termina en el mar.

Me vuelvo a la flota, descubriendo que en el curso del combate he jammeado los flaps, por lo que aponto con los mismos en Take Off, un poco más rápido que de costumbre pero sin problemas.

Caza nos informa que todos han caído, por lo que no hay escolta. Con sólo Popeye en condiciones de vuelo, salimos a Bellona a tratar de terminar el trabajo con bombas. Llegados sobre la isla, múltiples contactos de cazas australianos nos rodean.

Aviso a Popeye y entramos, tiramos las bombas al voleo y tratamos de escapar, Popeye por derecha, yo por izquierda.

La maniobra da resultado, Popeye escapa limpio de perseguidores. El problema es que su atención es exclusivamente acaparada por mi persona.

Estimo 2 Sea Fury y 4 Aeromacchi me acorralan a baja altura. Decido doggiar para vender cara la vida, y cuando estoy a punto de derribar un Aeromacchi, otro me acierta una ráfaga que me avería malamente el Corsario, con pérdidas de fuel y potencia.

Masticando impotencia, me plancho sobre las olas a 0 mts. en el altímetro, con destino a la base en Rennell, haciendo suaves zig-zags que descolocan las pasadas de los cazas enemigos.

Cuando pienso que lo voy a lograr, antes de llegar a la playa se me acaba el fuel y la esperanza de llegar a base segura. Logro amerizar sin problemas a un par de kilómetros de la playa, me subo a la balsa y la suave corriente me arrastra hasta las playas de Rennell.

1er Vuelo

Salgo como numero 4 de la escuadra de caza liderada por el Capitán Balker, junto a Falcon Pepper y Pato como mi numeral. Ganamos altura sobre la flota y se nos une Falcon. Nos dirigimos al norte de Bellona donde rápidamente encontramos oposición. Se trata de 4 reactores. Pongo rumbo hacia ellos y comienza el combate. Me trenzo con 1 mientras escucho por radio que mis camaradas van cayendo en combate. Logro dar caza a 1 F80, pero cuando termino me encuentro solo con 2 mas, me posiciono detrás del segundo y lo derribo, minutos después daría cuenta del tercero.

Llegan refuerzos desde la flota y tomamos control de la zona nuevamente. Atacamos a un grupo de c47 sobre la isla logrando en mi caso derribar a 1 de ellos.

Luego se presentan seafury que nos dan bastante trabajo, logro derribar a 2 de ellos y en una pasada a otro c47.

Una nueva oleada de seafury nos deja en desventaja numérica. Quedo solo con falcon el que es asediado por uno de ellos. Le indico que escape y me pongo detrás del enemigo pero me evade hábilmente. Decido pasarlo por la mayor velocidad que llevaba pero mientras escapo me dispara logrando acertar destruyendo mi aeronave.

Salgo nuevamente esta vez con Corsario. Llego sobre la isla donde me topo con un grupo de c47. Logro averiar a varios y derribar a 1 de ellos. Me retiro sin munición hacia la flota donde aponto sin novedad.

Noto que el sonido de mi turbina varìa como si estuviera empezando a perder potencia. Antes de que ésto suceda pongo rumbo a la FT ayudado por el beacon. Llego y aponto sin novedad.

Despegamos hacia el archipiélago mas grande, en busca de Ceteu que recargaba ahi,
Cuando despega ponemos rumbo la isla mas pequeña para terminar el trabajo, llegamos y me lanzo al primer pueblo para hacer mis pasadas, entro un par de veces sin pegar, cuando hago una pasada en la recuperación pierdo un ala y caigo sin poder saltar con seguridad.
